Carluke is a large town with a population of around 13,000, located a short distance away from the beautiful Clyde Valley and River Clyde. Due to this location by the Clyde Valley’s major fruit growers, one of Carlukes biggest employers is a jam factory. The town also offers several supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, soft play centre and shops. There are 5 local primary schools in the area and a large High School. The community also benefits from a leisure centre with a gym and swimming pool, and a number of sports clubs within the area.
A perfect town for commuters, with the M74 on its doorstep leading to the M73 and M8. There is also a train station with a line directly into Glasgow Central.
